The rocky shoreline at La Verna Preserve in Bristol is amazing. Spent the afternoon hiking there, with the entire preserve to myself. I’m sure the hike and the rocks are busy with people in the summer, but not today. Really an amazing place.
My first attempt at video. This is a song of mine that goes back a few years, but I still love playing it.
Favorite time of day… about a half hour before sunset.
Spring means more snapping photos… and here’s one now.
My landlords have chickens and they’re a lot of fun to photograph when the light is low and the grass is green… their colors against the green really catch my eye, and the sun coming through their tails and feathers too.
I was having coffee with Abby and she, like just about every woman I know, hates having her picture taken. The light coming through the window was just too good to pass up, so I corralled Matthew into sitting for a few pictures. I always thought he’d be fun to photograph, and he was.
The daughter of the friend of a friend was sitting outside the other day as I was leaving Pete and Ali’s house the other day. I’m guessing there’s some rule about not taking pictures of kids staring right into the camera, but I’m glad I never learned that one.
Rachel and Christian running up the driveway, doing what they do best. One of the (many) reasons I like taking pictures of these two is that they’re always moving so they’re great subjects if you want to learn how to focus on things in motion.
I think I just really like white… and I can’t help taking pictures where things are all a little washed in white. It just makes me happy for some reason.
